Tom Veraska is a life-long resident of north Denver. He was born in 1970 in Arvada, the son of a local banker and a schoolteacher. He was a good student, but was not particularly good at anything, and by the time he was in college he had no idea what he would do in life. But then, in his senior year of high school, he discovered photography. And in a flash he caught fire. After graduating from college he became a freelance photographer and spent ten years of his life traveling the world and selling his photos to newspapers and magazines. When he was thirty-three years old he returned to north Denver and opened a little photography studio in Westminster. Since then he has been working in his studio and documenting the everyday realities of north Denver for a growing number of fans. It was to speak directly to those fans that he created this blog three years ago in 2013.
